Salvador Day 01

11 de novembro de 2014

IMG_1259

In early October I went for the first time to Salvador, Bahia, one of the most visited cities in Brasil and I don't know why I never went before, because I loved that place! Its amazing!! People there are so happy, friendly, caring, and the food and weather are amazing!! For the history lovers, Salvador was the first capital and is well-know for her gastronomy, music and architecture.
At the first day, I went to the new Arena Fonte Nova, they have a guided tour (R$20,00), where you can see all the stadium details, but I didn't wait for, I just went and took pictures inside (for free). After that, we went to the Church of Nosso Senhor do Bonfim, the most famous of the 365 churches in the city. Even if you're not catholic you should go and see the archictecture. It's amazing!
The third stop of the day was at the most famous ice cream shop in town - Sorveteria da Ribeira! I'm a ice cream lover and is a obligatory stop!! So delicious!! In front of the ice cream shop, you can see a Pier, and to enjoy the day, we decided took a little boat to other side, where you can have lunch in one of the various restaurants there, but we decided just for the ride. (R$4,00 round trip).
In the end of the day, we tried to arrive at the Lacerda Elevator to see the sunset, but at this time the sun rise very early, around 5 a.m and goes down very early too, around 5:30 p.m, but we enjoyed a very beautiful view too!!

I always say that I will keep the blog updated but never do it, right? hehe. I still have some posts with my last tips from Montréal and one about my last trip to New York (in March/14).  After that, I will do it again the 50/50 Project, so we'll gonna have a lot of posts for these last two months of 2014 (time is flying).

Well, at first I thought in put the pictures and the video together in one post, but since the blog it's so "abandoned", kkkkkkk I decided put the video of my trip, in the beginning of October, to Salvador/Bahia first, so you can enjoy this beautiful city while I edit the pictures!!

L'oratoire Saint-Joseph

Vale a pena a visita.

Montréal is a catholic city and you can find a lot of churches. Besides the Basilique de Notre-Dame, I went to L'oratoire Saint-Joseph, who was in my neighborhood.
L'oratoire was founded for Frère André (he was canonized in 2010), he was very famous for hosting and taking care of sick persons who lived at the Mont-Royal and several others regions.
One day, he had a vision, that a sanctuary for Saint Joseph would be built, and after a few years that dream become true.
There we can found a place where the mess is realized, a little museum with Frère André life, and also a beautiful garden.

Un dimanche au Parc Du Mont-Royal

24 de setembro de 2014

IMG_7312

Parc du Mont - Royal in Montréal is like the Central Park in New York. There you can do various activities, like picnic, jogging, ride bicycles, etc. Of course during the winter you can't do a lot of these things, but there's the winter activities and you can have a lot of fun. When I was there, just took advantage of a nice and sunny sunday to know the place.
I went to Chalet du Mont-Royal where you can have a breathtaking view of Montréal and Lac aux Castors where they put on a ice skating rink.
To get there is very easy, I took the metro and a bus, of course I get out at the wrong place (as always), but worth it.
